Why Joomla Content Management?
While there are many fabulous open source content management systems available today, we're sticking with Joomla. Why? Well, a few reasons:

  1. It's never failed us. We've never had to say to a client, "sorry, the system won't allow us to do that."
  2. Our clients are floored by how easy it is to administer. Maintenance is important, right? And not everyone has the time or desire to master XHTML, CSS, PhP and XML anyway.
  3. The Joomla community rocks. Post a support question on their forums and you'll have answers within 10 minutes.

Out of the box, Joomla (joomla.org) open source software does a great job of managing the community framework needed to make any website come to life. But for many people, the true power of Joomla lies in the application framework that makes it possible for thousands of developers around the world to create powerful add-ons and extensions. The community support forums (http://forum.joomla.org) count 90,000 + developers in February of 2007 and grows by about 10,000 new registrants per month. If you can't find an extension in the 1,360 extensions currently listed at http://extensions.joomla.org, you can learn about the Joomla Developer Framework http://api.joomla.org/li_Joomla-Framework.html and develop your own extension (or ask Soapbox to do it for you).
